Mission

Founded in 2005, the Chiesi Foundation is a non-profit organization, which seeks to promote health and alleviate the suffering of patients affected by respiratory and neonatal diseases.

The Chiesi Foundation areas of intervantion are the support to scientific research, the sharing of knowledge,  education of healthcare professionals, young researchers and patients and international cooperation initiatives.

 

The Chiesi Foundation's activities are focused in the field of chronic respiratory and neonatal diseases.

 

The Chiesi Foundation’s main areas of activity are:

  • Scientific research to better understand the patients‘ need and improve their management, through the study of physio-pathological mechanism, of phenotypes and in depth analysis of psychological aspects of patients care;
  • Education and training of young researchers, to promote academic scientific research, by financing doctorate research projects;
  • International cooperation through the sharing of medical and technological knowledge and the transfer of means to low-income and middle-income countries, across long-term projects orientated to progressive economic indipendence.
